Peningkatan kemampuan menulis karangan melalui metode mind mapping : penelitian tindakan pada siswa kelas III SD Negeri 3 B Srikaton Kecamatan Tugumulyo, Kabupaten Musi Rawas, tahun 2015
Abstract
The purpose of this study is to improve ability to write an essay on the third gradestudents of SD Negeri 3 Srikaton, kab. Musi Rawas. The subject in this study is 16 students which consist of 5 male students and 11 female students. The research uses Kemmis and McTaggart model which conducted in two cycles. Each cycles consists of six sessions. Each cycle consists of planning, action observation, and reflection. The data in this study is collected by observation, interviewand documentation with the analysis of qualitative and quantitative data. Before conducting the research, pre action is conducted to determine the early percentage of essay writing skills of children, so that it can be known how much improvement the ability to write essay before the action is taken and after the action until the second cycles. Essay writing skills of children is increase after doing the action through the mind mapping method. It can be seen from the result of this study says that the average grade in the pre cycle is 12,5%. After the action on the first cycle, essay writing abilities of children increased to 43,75% and the second cycle increased to 75%. The result showed that the method of mind mapping can improve a child’s ability to write essays. It is proved that from the observations the completeness have achieved 75%.
