ABSTRACT
This study aims to find out The Effect of Learning and Formal Reasoning Method Toward Student Attitudes on History Lesson. The research was conducted in SMA Negeri 1 Cibadak Academic Year 2012/2013 by using Anava Two Line Design Treatment by Level.As a whole, the results of this study indicates firstly, there is a difference between the attitudes of students who are given the active debate learning methods and Two Stay Two Stray. Secondly, there is the influence of the interaction between learning method and students’ formal reasoning that affect students' attitudes toward history lesson. Thirdly, students with high formal reasoning that learn using active debate method have a more positive attitude toward history lesson. Forthly, students who have low formal reasoning become more positive by using two stay two stray.It can be concluded that the method of learning and formal reasoning can foster positive attitudes of students in the subject of history.
