ABSTRACT
This study aims to find the form of the values of character education in five (5) fairy tales from Brüder Grimm that include in cognitive, affective and psychomotor domain. This study used a qualitative approach using content analysis method. Researcher first collected data in sentences that contain the value of character education, then classified it based of cognitive, affective and psychomotor domain. Analysis of the sentences were carried out to find the form of the value of character education and its meaning.
As the results of the study, researcher found that there are values of character education in five fairy tales from Brüder Grimm, especially in cognitive, affective and psychomotor domain. The total amount of leksia in five fairy tales from Brüder Grimm are 134 leksia. It is divided into: 34 leksia (25%) in cognitive domain, 47 leksia (35%) in affective domain and 53 (40%) in psychomotor domain.
The findings lead to the recommendation : for the teachers, they should use fairy tales as the media to learn German especially to introduce and give the example of values of character education to the students in daily life. For the students, they should understand and implement these values of character education in their daily life. For the other researcher, they can make this research as their inspiration or their reference material to do the other research according to fairy tales
