INCREASING STUDENTS PARTICIPATION THROUGH CONVERSATION METHOD IN ENGLISH LEARNING

ABSTRACT
This research is aimed at increasing of students participation in English
learning through conversation method. This research involved twenty nine students of Year Two from SDIT Ash-Shiddiiqi as respondent. Research used the method of action research spiral cycle model developed by Kemmis & Taggart and succesfully completed in two cycles. Quantitative data of student’s participation were analized through the performence of early assessment, assessment of each cycle and the performence of last assessment after actions.
Quantitative data score of student’s participation improvement was analyzed using descriptive statistics. The results show that: The student participation between cycles has increased, which is an average scores of the pre-action 57,9%, first cycle 67,6%, second cycle 72,3% and post action 79,8%.
