EFFORT TO INCREASE COUNTING ABILITY THROUGH PAIKEM APPROACHMENT (AN ACTION RESEARCH AT FIRST GRADE IN SD ISLAM AT TAQWA, EAST JAKARTA)
ABSTRACT
The objective of this research was to increased counting ability through PAIKEM approachment. It was an action research conducted in Rawamangun, East Jakarta in 2013. The stage of this action research were consist of plan, act, observe and reflect. The subject of this research was the first grade students of SDI At Taqwa, East Jakarta that had counting ability problem.The method used in collecting data was a non-test method which consist of survey records based on observation, counting ability evaluation manual and observation photos. Data percentage analysis method used in this research is using arcieved 80 percent.The result of overall data percentage analysis was a 94,85 percent which above the achievement indicator. Based on the increased percentage so the hypothesis can be accepted. Futhermore it can be concluded that PAIKEM approachment can increase counting ability for first grade primary students. The implication of this research is that PAIKEM approachment can be an alternative way to counting ability for first grade primary students. The implementation of PAIKEM approachment in counting ability at school was involved by few factors such as teacher’s capabilities, school facilities and students. By the synergy of those factors students counting ability would optimally increase.
