ABSTRACT
This study aims to evaluate the implementation of Islamic education (PAI). The research has been conducted at Bandung nature school/Sekolah Alam Bandung (SAB).
The methodology used is the evaluative research through the stake's Countenance model that includes three stages/phases namely; input (antecedents), processes (transactions), and results (outcomes). Three sub-focuses are examined in the study, (1) the description of the process (anttecedents), (2) the description of the process (transactions) of the Organization of Islamic education (PAI), (3) the description of the results (outputs/outcomes). Based on the study findings, it was concluded that aspects of the antecedents, as well as transactions, and the outcomes have not been in accordance with the eight standards of education.
The results showed that: (1) formally, Bandung Nature School does not yet have a legal operational permit from Kemendikbud, (2) the school is using two different types of curriculum, namely Kemendikbud’s curriculum and the school’s own curriculum. However, for the subjects of PAI, the school does not yet refer to the KTSP, (3) implementation process of Islamic education is conducted in an integrated way, (4) nature is used as an object of exploration in building the mentality of the learners, and the role models of educators, (5) narrative and grufi are used in evaluation.
