BUSTANIL ARIFIN ABSTRACT This research is aimed to discover the effects of instruction model and assessment technics toward Arabic language learning outcomes. The research method used is an experimental method, while the design used is factorial post test only design (factorial 2x2). The research has been done in MTs. Attaqwa 10 Rawa Silam and MTs. Attaqwa 16 Teluk Pucung Bekasi. The population participated in this research was students attending class 7 at MTs. Attaqwa 10 Rawa Silam and MTs. Attaqwa 16 Teluk Pucung during odd semester for the academic years of 2016/2017. Sample was selected using simple random sample totalling 154 people. The result of the conducted research shows that: (1) the results of the use of TPS model for Arabic language learning are higher than students who studied with Expository learning model; (2) language learning outcomes of students who use the Documentation portfolio valuation techniques are higher than students who learn using Display valuation techniques portfolio; (3) there are significant interaction between the learning model and portfolio assessment techniques to the results of student learning Arabic language.
