Pengaruh penerapan model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning (PBL) terhadap kemampuan komunikasi dan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa kelas VIII MTS Negeri Sekabupaten Lombok Tengah
Penelitian bertujuan untuk mengetahui: a) pengaruh penerapan model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning terhadap kemampuan komunikasi matematis; b) pengaruh penerapan model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning terhadap kemampuan Pemecahan masalah matematis; c) hubungan kemampuan komunikasi dan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis. Penelitian di laksanakan pada siswa kelas VIII MTS Negeri 1 Lombok Tengah, semester genap tahun ajaran 2016/2017. Penelitian ini menggunakan teknik eksperimen semu dengan desain pretest-posttest control group desain. Sampel penelitian ditentukan berdasarkan Cluster random sampling. Instrumen penelitian berupa soal essay dan data diolah menggunakan Independent sample t-test dan regresi linier sederhana. Temuan penelitian adalah: a) kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa yang dibelajarakan menggunakan model PBL lebih tinggi dibandingkan siswa yang dibelajarkan menggunakan konvensional plus; b) kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa yang dielajarkan menggunakan model PBL lebih tinggi dibandingkan siswa yang dibelajarkan menggunakan konvensional plus; c) terdapat hubungan antara kemampuan komunikasi dan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis.
This research aims to know: a) the effect of Problem Based Learning (PBL) model on the mathematical communication skills; b) the effect of Problem Based Learning (PBL) model on the mathematical problems solving skills; c) correlation of mathematical communication skills and mathematical problem solving skills. The research was conducted in 8th grade Islamic Junior high school 1 central lombok, in 2st semester 2016/2017 academic year. The research of this study was quasi-experimental with pretest-posttest control group design. The sample was collected using the cluster random sampling technique. The research instrument is essay and data were analyzed using Independent sample t-test and simple linear regression. The findings suggest that: a) Student’s mathematical communication skills learned using Problem based learning model is higher than student’s learned using conventional plus; b) Student’s mathematical problem solving skills learned using Problem based learning model is higher than student’s learned using conventional plus; c) there is a association between mathematical problem solving and mathematical communication skills.
