Change-able Hawk-eagle is one of raptor (predatory bird) which act as the top predator and also an environmental indicator. Declining of forest area affects the existence of this eagle because one of their nesting habitat is primary forest. Therefore, aim of the research is to analysis the vegetation around the nest tree in different habitat. The results are the nest trees have same similiarities about the tree size. The vegetation, both of the habitats supporting prey for eagle, as of the habitats support their life. However, declining area of the primary forest will decrease wild species. This study aims to see the sustainability of a habitat through information of nest trees and vegetation conditions around the nest trees. Through information of the nest trees characteristics and vegetation analysis around the nest trees can be predicted whether the habitat provides a prospective nest tree and still support the eagle's life . Method is used are PCQ for tree level, quadrat method for level of pole and seedlings. The results of the study indicate that the plant species commonly used as nest trees are Lithocarpus sp. The condition of vegetation in the field show that pole and seedlings level are not found from species which commonly chosen as nest trees, whereas in the forest habitat the seedling level was not found, eight indvidu pole level, and one tree. Based on the information, forest more potential than field for species regeneration.
