Analisis penyebab drop call pada jaringan Global System for Mobile communication (GSM) dari data Operation and Support System Key Performance Indicator (OSS KPI) di BSCZ_Manado2

Tujuan yang akan dicapai dari penelitian pada pembuatan skripsi adalah penulis menjelaskan faktor penyebab terjadinya voice drop call pada jaringan GSM serta memberikan rekomendasi pada tiap worst cell contributor drop call jaringan GSM. Analisis dari data sekuder yaitu data mentah hasil perhitungan dari OSS dengan tools netnumen (MINOS). Data yang diperoleh merupakan data kinerja jaringan yang berupa nilai maupun persentase suatu parameter kemudian diolah menggunakan Microsoft Excel 2007 menjadi grafik dengan metode statistik deskritif.
Berdasarkan analisis data dari OSS, faktor penyebab terjadinya drop call di BSCZ_MANADO2(6) yaitu drop call akibat kegagalan radio link, drop call akibat kegagalan handover dan drop call akibat kegagalan LAPD link. Kontributor penyebab utama pada minggu ke-17 di BSCZ_MANADO2(6) yaitu drop call akibat kegagalan LAPD link sebesar 105096 dari 169476.
Penyebab utama terjadinya drop call pada cell MDO217MD1_Hotel DivachkMD2 akibat kegagalan radio link. Rekomendasi untuk cell ini yaitu mengubah physical antena yakni downtilt dan mengubah BCCH frekuensinya agar tidak terjadi interferensi co-channel. Penyebab utama terjadinya drop call pada cell MDO026MD1_MalalayangMD3 akibat kegagalan handover. Rekomendasi untuk cell ini yaitu menambah atau menghapus handover relation, mengubah margin handover parameter yaitu RxLevMin, HoMArginPbgt, HoMarginRxLev, dan HoMarginRxQual, dan melakukan perubahan azimuth sesuai target coverage. Penyebab utama terjadinya drop call pada cell MDO026MD1_MalalayangMD2 akibat kegagalan LAPD link. Rekomendasi untuk cell ini yaitu melakukan troubleshooting yakni pengecekan DDF port transmisi dan melakukan BER Test.

The purpose of this minithesis is the writer can explain the causes of the drop voice call on GSM network and give recommendations on each worst cell contributor drop call on GSM network.Analysis of the secondary data is the raw data on the calculation of OSS with netnumen tools (MINOS). The data that have been obtained is the form of network performance data, such as value and percentage of network parameters which has processed to be chart using Microsoft Excel 2007 by descriptive method.
Based on the data analysis from the OSS, the causes of drop call in BSCZ_MANADO2 (6) are drop call because of the radio link failure, drop call because of the handover failure and drop call because of the failure of the LAPD link. The main cause of the drop call at week 17 in BSCZ_MANADO2 (6) is drop call because of the failure of the LAPD link from 169476 to 105096.
