Interaksi mahasiswa tingkat tiga program studi pendidikan bahasa perancis pada mata kuliah civilisation francaise II

SALMAN ALFARISI. 2016. Interaction of French Education Department’s Students in Civilisation Française II Course. Bachelor Thesis, French Education Department, Faculty of Languages and Arts, State University of Jakarta.
This research was purposed to describe the interaction of French Education Department’s students in Civilisation Française II course and to know how much the students and teacher’s portions and also the factors that influences their interaction. In order to support this research, the classroom was observed for 4 times (10 meetings) from March 31th to June 9th 2016 by using a voice recorder and a digital camera to capture the learning process in the classroom.
This research used ethnographic method and the instrument of study is the researcher himself. Referring to the ethnographic research cycle described by Spradley, the first step is to determine an ethnographic project where the research was conducted. Then, ask the ethnographic questions. That is finding the problems that will be discussed in this research. Furthermore, that is collecting ethnographic data through observation, interview, and documents such as interviews and observation transcripts. After that, all data obtained during observation was recorded in documents such as transcript and field notes. After all results noted, the data analysis technique of Spradley including domain, taxonomic, componential, and cultural theme analysis was used and accompanied by Brown Interaction Analysis System (BIAS). Then, the whole data obtained is written in the form of a report.
The results of this research showed that the interaction in Civilisation Française II course is mostly dominated by the teacher. It can be seen by the amount of the portions of teacher languages, particularly in teacher lectures and teacher responds categories. It happened because the factors that affects the student’s interaction like internal factors as psychological, physiological, and fatigue as well as external factors like family and school.
