ABSTRACT
This research was aimed to find out the effect of the instructional model and achievement motivation toward student achievement of fishing gear repair. Population in this research were students of nautical fishing vessel study program at North Mollucas province, and the samples were students of class 10 thnautical fishing vessel study program at SMKN 4 Ternate and SMKN 5 Tidore Kepulauan.The method used is an experimental method. While the design is used treatment by the level of 2 x 2. Research hypotheses were tested using two way analysis of variance.The results showed that: (1) fishing gears repairs achievement of students taught by the project based learning model is higher than the group of students who are taught to direct instructional model, (2) there is an interaction effect between instructional models with the achievement motivation toward students achievement of fishing gear repair, (3) in the group of students with high achievement motivation level, achievement of students who are taught fishing gears repair group project based learning model is higher than the group of students who are taught to direct instructional model, and (4) in the group of students with low achievement motivation level, fishing gears repair achievement of students taught by the project based learning model is lower than the group of students who are taught to project based learning model.
