Hubungan indeks massa tubuh dan kekuatan otot tungkai terhadap kecepatan lari 60 meter pada mahasiswa mata kuliah atletik 1 Prodi Pendidikan Kepelatihan 2017
The purpose of this study was to obtain information about the relationship of body mass index to the speed of running 60 meters, the relationship of leg muscle strength to the speed of running 60 meters and the relationship of body mass index and leg muscle strength to the speed of running 60 meters.
The data was collected in somatokinetika and velodrome rawamangun laboratory on December 18, 2017. This research used descriptive method with correlation study technique, the sample used is the subjects of athletic training 1 training education prodi of 22 samples from 219 population, sampling by using purposive sampling (student of athletic course 1 of coaching education 2017). The hypothesis testing technique is done by using simple correlation statistic analysis and double correlation followed by t-test at significant level α = 0,05. The results showed: firstly, there was a significant relationship between body mass index and running speed of 60 meters, with linear line equation Ŷ = 1198.23 + 0.52 X₁, T.count = 4.46 bigger than T.table = 2.09 correlation coefficient ry1 = 0.52 and coefficient of determination (ry12) = 0.27, which means the body mass index variables contributed to a 60 meter running speed of 27%. Second, there is a meaningful relationship between the running speed of 60 meters, with linear line equation Ŷ = 51.83 + -5.98 X₂, T.count = 5.21 bigger than T.table = 2.09 coefficient of correlation ry2 = -5.98 and coefficient of determination (ry22) = 35.76, which means the leg muscle strength variable contributes to a 60-meter running speed of 35.76%. Third, there is a significant relationship between body mass index and leg muscle strength with a running speed of 60 meters, with linear line equation Ŷ = 47 + 0.061 X₁ + -0.005 X₂, F.count = 4 greater than F.table = 3.55 correlation coefficient ry1-2 = 0.50 and the coefficient of determination (ry1-2) ² = 0.25 which means the body mass index variables and leg muscle strength contributes to a 60 meter run speed of 25%.Keywords: Body Mass Index, Limb Muscle Power, Running Speed 60 Meters, Athletics
