Meningkatkan motivasi dan hasil belajar sistem operasi dengan menggunakan metode discovery (di kelas X Multimedia SMK Taman Harapan Bekasi )
MENINGKATKAN MOTIVASI DAN HASIL BELAJAR SISTEM OPERASI DENGAN MENGGUNAKAN METODE DISCOVERY (DI KELAS X MULTIMEDIA SMK TAMAN HARAPAN BEKASI)

ABSTRAK
Peneliti saat melakukan observasi di kelas X Multimedia SMK Taman Harapan Bekasi pada tahun pelajaran 2014 – 2015 menunjukan bahwa : (1) siswa pasif dan tidak mendengarkan guru mengajar, (2) kegiatan praktikum terlihat kurang menyenangkan, menonton dan kurang variatif, (3) siswa tidak berani mengajukan pertanyaan, (4) siswa takut bertanya dan menjawab pertanyaan yang diberikan oleh guru, (5) motivasi belajar siswa masih rendah, (6) nilai mata pelajaran sistem operasi belum mencapai 100% KKM. Peneliti menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan pengembangan mata pelajaran didasarkan pada data-data dan informasi dari siswa dan guru melalui tiga tahapan siklus Penelitian Tindakan Kelas untuk meningkatkan motivasi dan hasil belajar sistem operasi dengan menggunakan metode discovery, siswa kelas X Multimedia SMK Taman Harapan Bekasi pada semester ganjil tahun pelajaran 2015 – 2016. Hasil belajar postest siklus pertama nilai rata-rata kelas 74,69 dengan siswa yang tuntas 15 siswa dan 17 siswa yang tidak tuntas, postest siklus kedua diperoleh nilai rata-rata 84,69 dengan siswa yang tuntas 26 siswa dan 6 siswa yang tidak tuntas, postest siklus ketiga diperoleh nilai rata-rata 89,06 dengan jumlah 32 siswa sudah 100% tuntas mencapai nilai KKM yang ditentukan oleh sekolah. Dari pelaksanaan Penelitian Tindakan Kelas dapat disimpulkan bahwa metode discovery melalui kegiatan praktikum dapat meningkat kualitas pembelajaran siswa pada mata pelajaran sistem operasi.

INCREASE MOTIVATION AND LEARNING OUTCOMES OF THE OPERATING SYSTEM BY USING DISCOVERY LEARNING METHODS (IN THE CLASS X MULTIMEDIA SMK TAMAN HARAPAN BEKASI)

ABSTRACT
Researchers made observations time on the class X Multimedia SMK Taman Harapan Bekasi school year 2014–2015 indicates that: (1) students are passive, not listening to teachers teaching, (2) activities in a practical look less fun, watching, and less varied (3) there is no courage students to ask questions (4) students tend to be fearful to ask and answer the question given by the teacher, (5) the motivation of learning students are still low (6) the value of subjects operating system that have not reached Minimum Completeness Criteria yet. The Researchers used a qualitative approach with the development of subjects based on the data and information from students and teachers through the three stages of Action research classroom to increase motivation and learning outcomes of the operating system by using discovery learning method on the Class X Multimedia SMK Taman Harapan Bekasi half lesson on odd years 2015–2016. The results of the first cycle postest obtained average value of practical work is 74.69 with students who complete 15 students and 17 students who do not complete. On the results of the second study cycle postest obtained average value of practical work is 84.69 with students who finished the 26 students and 6 students who do not complete, the third cycle postest obtained average value is 89.06 with the amount of practical work, 32 students who were already 100 % satisfaction by achieving Minimum Completeness Criteria are determined by the school. The implementation of the Action Research Classroom can be concluded that the method of discovery learning through practical activities can increase the quality of student learning in operating system subjects.
