THE EFFECT OF JOB DESIGN AND JOB STRESS TO THE PRODUCTIVITY OF TEACHERS IN PUBLIC ELEMENTARY SCHOOLS IN MATRAMAN DISTRICT, EAST JAKARTA

ABSTRACT :
This research aims to investigate the effect of (1) Job Design, (2) Job Stress, (3) Productivity of elementary school teachers who teach in public school in Matraman district, East Jakarta.
This research uses a survey method with a quantitative-causal approach using path analyses. The target population is all public elementary school teacher in Matraman District in amount of 306 persons.
This research uses a sample of 173 teachers in a District which determined by Slovin formula. This indicates: first, there is a positive effect between the work design and the productivity. Second, there is a negative effect between the work stress and the productivity. Third, there is a negative effect between the work design and the work stress.
