Hubungan pengetahuan tentang konsep dasar ekologi dan kepedulian lingkungan dengan etika lingkungan : studi korelasi di SMA Negeri 1 Tambun Selatan

ABSTRACT
This thesis examines the students' ethics of the environment in SMA Negeri 1
South TambunBekasi, West Java. More specifically, namely the relationship
between the basic concept of ecology knowledge and environmental awareness with
student concerns for the environment ethics.
This study used survey method with correlation technique. While the
technique of sampling with purposive sampling technique. Data collected through
questionnaires shaped instrument using the technique of questionnaire. The
numbers of respondents are 60 people. The test instrument is taken as many as 20
people outside the sample for the study.
Hypothesis testing results shows that the three alternative hypotheses (H1)
proposed in this study received and reject the null hypothesis (H0). It can be
concluded as follows:
(1) Concern is influenced by a student basic concept of ecology knowledge, because
the better basic concept of ecology knowledgeof the students, the higher the
students' ethics for the environment, on the contrary the lower basic concept of
ecology knowledge, then the student ethics for the environment will also be
decreased.
(2) Environmental care can be improved by increasing students' environmental
ethics. This means that the higher concern the environmental of the students then
students will be more ethics about the environment. Conversely, if the lower the
environmental concern of the students then students will be less ethics about the
environment.
(3) Environmental care will be improved by applying jointly basic concept of ecology
knowledgeand environmental awareness. Thus, it means that the higher the basic
concept of ecology knowledgeon the student and the higher the environmental
awareness of the students will be the higher the ethics environment.
It shows that the basic concept of ecology knowledgeand environmental
awareness are two variables that are important to consider in explaining the increase
in ethics of students about the environment.
