Struktural-semiotik dalam hikayat raja Damsyik dan implementasinya terhadap pembelajaran sastra Indonesia di SMA

Abstract
INDAH NOVITA SARI. Hikayat Raja Damsyik’s Strucktural-Semiotic and the implications of learning Indonesian Literature in High School. Bachelor theses, Jakarta: Education Study Program of Indonesian Language and Literature, Faculty of languages and art, University of Jakarta, 2016.
The objectives of this research is to know the form of the structure and existed hermeneutic in hikayat Raja Damsyik. This research has been done since February 2016 until July 2016 using structural studies semiotic and hikayat Raja Damsyik as the research object, research examined is: (1) structural studies namely intrinsic elements that include, penokohan plots, background, and themes, (2) connectedness antarunsur is bound by the theme, (3) exist the relationship between the sign and the benchmark in the form of the index icon and symbol. This research using qualitative descriptive method. The formulation of the research problem that is, "How structural-semiotic in hikayat Raja Damsyik and the implications of learning Indonesian literature in high school?" research results reveal that: (1) on the hikayat Raja Damsyik who examined structurally found 40 events with progressive plots, has four main figure with a different penokohan as driving the story, occurs on seven background place with the theme interwoven brotherhood, (2) exist the relationship between the sign and the benchmark mutual related in building the integrity of the story which is bound by the theme, (3) by hermeneutic, existed the relationship between the sign and the benchmark visible on the icon (topologis, diagramatik, and the metaphor), the index, and symbol. The implications of the results of research on literature learning at school which could Indonesia become a source of references teachers in an effort to explore the classical literature.
