ABSTRACT
This study aimed to evaluate the rehabilitation of mangrove forests in Southeast Sulawesi (Konawe Selatan and Kolaka) are compatible with the Permenhut No.P.70/Menhut-II/2008).
The research was conducted in coastal Southeast Sulawesi consists of 2 locations with 4 respondents. This research is a qualitative descriptive type of policy. Data were collected by means of observation, interviews, and document analysis.
The results indicate the implementation of policies of the Minister of Forestry (Permenhut No.P.70/Menhut-II/2008) views of realization in the region of Southeast Sulawesi Province namely Konawe Selatan sub Desa Tinanggea Akuni, more than half (70%) are not in accordance with Permenhut No.P.70/Menhut-II/2008, while the
implementation of the policy of the Minister of Forestry (Permenhut No.P.70/Menhut-II/2008) views of realization in the region of Southeast Sulawesi Province namely Kolaka Sub Pomalaa Sub Harapan coastal, half (53%) does not match the Permenhut No.P.70/Menhut-II/2008.
This study recommends that the local government of Southeast Sulawesi continues to actively disseminate the policy to the public, the local government of Southeast Sulawesi supervise the process of rehabilitation of mangrove forests actively and consistently, Southeast Sulawesi community in order to comply with the minister's policy has been established, Southeast Sulawesi government institutions related can perform monitoring, data collection, and reporting on mangrove rehabilitation activities thoroughly and periodically or regularly, makers or policy
makers involved in the determination of the technical guidelines mangrove rehabilitation can apply the method of "bottom-up" in formulating policy, further research needs to be done related to this study, namely the relevance, legal compliance and legality of all policies contained in Permenhut No.P.70/Menhut-II/2008 containing technical guidelines for forest and land rehabilitation.
