ABSTRACT
The objective of this research is to find out the effect of vocational learning strategy and knowledge about sustainable development to increase traditional cattleman skills to make biodisgester. The methode used was a quasi experiment of 2 x 2 factorial design. The sample of 80 traditional cattleman at sukawangi district which they were devided in two groups. The results showed as follow : 1) There is significant difference on make biodigester the cattleman who was thaught with vocational learning strategy use school based and vocational learning strategy use work place based. 2) There is have interaction found between two factor that is vocational learning strategy and knowledge about sustainable development. 3) The cattleman group who have high knowledge about sustainable development and thought with vocational learning strategy use work based, the skill to make biodigester higher than cattleman who thought with vocational learning strategy use school based. 4) The cattleman group who have low knowledge about sustainable development and thought with vocational learning strategy use work based, the skill to make biodigester higher than cattleman who thought with vocational learning strategy use school based. From this research, the conclusion is vocational learning strategy use work place based can more effective to increase the level skill a cattleman to make biodigester by consideration their knowledge about sustainable development.
