Persepsi siswa tentang perhatian guru dalam pembelajaran sejarah di SMA Negeri 78 Jakarta

This study aims to describe the perceptions of students about the teacher's attention in the teaching of history in 78 Jakarta Senior High School. The study was conducted in 78 Jakarta Senior High School from March 28 2016 until 14 April 2016. The method used quantitative descriptive with survey techniques. Respondents were taken is a whole class XI IIS A, B and C and XII MIA G and H in the second semester of the school year of 2015/2016 which amounting to 163 students.
Measurement of students' perceptions about the teacher's attention using a non-test with a scale of attitudes which include dimensions of knowledge, experience and judgment, with alternative answers from negative to positive. Scores obtained summed and each dimension multiplied by 100%, then calculated the average.
The results showed that negative perceptions of students about the teacher's attention gained 31.30% (IIS XI A), 27.80% (XI IIS B), 36.22% (IIS XI C) with an average grade IIS 31.76% , 40.00% (XII MIA G), 35.77% (XII MIA H) with an average grade 37.85% MIA. The negative percentages of the whole class is 34.20%. Meanwhile, the positive perceptions of students about the teacher's attention gained 68.70% (IIS XI A), 72.20% (XI IIS B), 63.78% (IIS XI C) with an average grade 68.24% IIS. 60.00% (XII MIA G), 64.23% (XII MIA H) with an average grade 62.15% MIA. The positive percentages of the whole class is 65.80%.
Overall, this study concludes that students' perceptions about the teacher's attention during the learning process of history is already strong. Judging from the positive average of class IIS MIA 68.24% and 62.15% with a margin of 6.09% is already good enough attention from the teacher in MIA and IIS class. Seen from the difference perception of the average is not too far away and still into the category. With some lack of teacher’s attention such as knowledge, experience or teacher’s assessment against their students.
