This study aims to find out how depressed the figure Rosie in the novel Sunset With Rosie by Tere Liye with a study of literary psychology. This research is literary and not bound by the place. The study was conducted from September to January 2017. The object of this research is Rosie's character on novel SBR. The focus of this research is depression in the novel SBR with subfokus Process Depression on Rosie's character. The theory used is the Cognitive Theory of Aron Beck which mentions depression occurs because of the three negative thoughts, namely (1) self, (2) environment, (3) future .. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative method with analysis technique Content. This method uses the analytical table as a tool of researchers and describes the results of research data content analysis. Stage analysis is done by analyzing 3 negative thoughts. The results show the character Rosie experienced 3 negative thoughts. Rosie experienced negative thoughts about the environment more dominant than negative thinking to myself and the future because Rosie felt the Bali Jimbaran Bomb that caused the source of obstacle from happiness Rosie family. Negative thoughts present through the events of the character of the story.
