Ungkapan akibat tujuan bahasa Prancis dalam novel L'homme qui voulait etre heureux karya Laurent Gounelle

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui jenis – jenis ungkapan akibat dan tujuan bahasa Prancis dan penggunaan ungkapan – ungkapan tersebut dalam berbagai konteks kalimat yang terdapat di dalam 20 bab novel berbahasa Prancis L’Homme Qui Voulait Être Heureux karya Laurent Gounelle. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif dengan metode deskriptif. Teknik yang digunakan untuk mengumpulkan data – data tersebut adalah teknik dokumentasi karena peneliti mengumpulkan data dari sumber berupa novel. Kemudian, teknik analisis yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini, yaitu teknik analisis data menurut Miles & Huberman yang terbagi menjadi tiga tahap. Tahap pertama, yaitu mereduksi data yang bermakna akibat dan tujuan dalam novel l’Homme qui Voulait Être Heureux. Tahap kedua, yaitu mengkategorikan data ke dalam bentuk tabel data yang sesuai dengan teori Delatour, Jennepin, Dufour, & Teyssier (2014). Selanjutnya data jenis – jenis ungkapan akibat dan tujuan tersebut dianalisis secara kontekstual untuk mengetahui penggunaannya dalam berbagai konteks. Tahap terakhir merupakan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa dari 43 data representatif yang dianalisis, terdapat 29 ungkapan akibat dan 14 ungkapan tujuan. Ungkapan akibat yang berjenis konjungsi subordinatif berjumlah 14 data, preposisi berjumlah 3 data, dan kata sambung berjumlah 12 data. Kemudian, sisanya merupakan ungkapan tujuan yang berjenis konjungsi subordinatif berjumlah 5 data dan preposisi berjumlah 9 data. Sementara itu, ditemukan 1 ungkapan akibat berbentuk konjungsi subordinatif yang memiliki makna tujuan. Oleh karena itu, data tersebut termasuk ke dalam ungkapan tujuan. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah terdapat beragam ungkapan akibat dan tujuan yang ditemukan dalam novel L’Homme Qui Voulait Être Heureux karya Laurent Gounelle yang memiliki makna berbeda sesuai dengan konteks kalimat.

This study aims to determine the types of French expression of consequence and purpose and the use of that expressions in various contexts in Laurent Gounelle's French novel, l'Homme qui Voulait Être Heureux. This research used qualitative approach with descriptive method. The technique used to collect data is the documentation technique because researcher has collected the data from the source such as novel. This research used the analytical technique from Miles & Huberman that is divided into three steps. The first step is to reduce the data that contain expression of consequence and purpose in the novel l'Homme qui Voulait Être Heureux. The second step is to categorize the data into tabular form in accordance with the theories from Delatour, Jennepin, Dufour, & Teyssier (2014). Furthermore, the data of the types of French expression of consequence and purpose are analysed contextually to perceive its use in various contexts. The last step is the conclusion. The results of this study indicate that from 43 representative data that were analysed, there are 29 data for expression of consequence and 14 data for expression of purpose. Expression of consequence comprise 14 data in the form of subordinate conjunction, 3 data in the form of preposition, and 12 data in the form of connectors. The rest of the data is expression of purpose that contains 5 data in the form of subordinate conjunction and 9 data in form of preposition. Meanwhile, there is a data in form of subordinate conjunction that has purposive meaning. Therefore, that data is included in the expression of purpose. The conclusion of this study is that there are various expressions of consequence and purpose found in the novel l'Homme Qui Voulait Être Heureux by Laurent Gounelle which has different meanings according to the context of the sentence.
