Penerapan pendekatan bermain untuk meningkatkan teknik fielding pada tingkat pemula Klub Olahraga Cricket Universitas Negeri Jakarta
This study aims to assess how playing approach could improving fielding techniques at beginner level of State University of Jakarta cricket club. The research method used is action research on quantitative and qualitative data. The research subject is 20 beginner level player of State University of Jakarta Cricket Club. This research was conducted for 4 months, from October 2017 until January 2018, which divided into 2 cycle, 6 classes of first cycle and 6 classes of second cycle. The result of initial test showed that 18 players (90%) in very less category and 2 players (10%) in less category. The first cycle with playing approach activity conducted through playing approach then followed by fielding techniques test with result 6 players (30%) in good category, 11 players (55%) in fair category and 3 players (15%) in less category from standard because of few points. The result of second cycle which is reflection from first cycle through playing approach and fielding techniques test showed 6 players (30%) in very good category, 12 players (60%) in good category and 2 players (10%) in fair category. Based on data result above it can be concluded that the application of playing approach is able to improve fielding techniques at beginner level of State University of Jakarta cricket club.
