Analisis Sajak-Sajak Chairil Anwar

Literary analysis be dealt separattelty from the interdependency of text - author - reades aspects. The analysis of Chairil Anwar's poems is closely related to language comprehension, the personality of Chairil Anwar himself, and the surrounded society. The analysis result shows that poems of Chairil Anwar fall into several theme categories. The first is focusing on the matter of life an death which is comprised in the poems of Nisan (Gravestone), Penghidupan (Living), Tak Sepadan (Uneven), Pelarian (The Escapist), Sendiri (Alone), Suara Malam (The Voice of The Night), Aku (I), Kesabaran (Patience), Kenangan (Memory), Hampa (In Vain), Rumahku (My Home), Kawanku dan Aku (My Friend and I), Dendam (Revenge), Malam (The Night), and Yang Terempas dan Yang Putus (The Dumped adn Broken). The second theme category concerns patriotism which was written within several poems titled Diponegoro (Prince Diponegoro), Krawang - Bekasi, Persetujuan dengan Bung Karno (An Agreement with Bung Karno), and Prajurit Jaga Malam (Night Guard Soldier). Third theme category is religiosity which taken several poems such as Di Mesjid (In the Mosque), Doa (prayer), Kepada Peminta-Minta (To The Beggar), and Isa. Fourth theme category is sexuality which comprised in Sia-Sia (Useless), Taman (The Garden), Lagu Biasa (Ordinary Song), Kupu Malam dan Biniku (A prostitute an My Wife), and Penerimaan (Acceptance).Keyword: aesthetic reception, the readers horizon of expectation, superreaders evaluation.
