Kata-kata Berimbuhan Peng- dalam Bahasa Indonesia

This article discusses about the prefix words peng- whose the two of those words is almost similar but the meaning is different. For example, penatar and petatar, penyuluh and pesuluh, pengajar and pelajar, peninju and petinju. In the first form, phoneme preceding the base form changes after given prefix peng-. While in the second form, phoneme preceding the base form does not change after given prefix peng-.
In this paper there are two thing that can be discussed, namely a process of words formation whose peng- affixes and the meaning words prefix peng-.
