This article discusses about word group meaning in Indonesian. Word group is groups of word that have an unity, so the meaning which is produced of the word groups became new meaning. It is not meaning from formative word group elements.
Word group meaning is divided into two meaning. They are idiomatic meaning and non idiomatic meaning. Idiomatic meaning can be divided into two meaning. They are purely idiomatic and semi idiomatic. Non idiomatic meaning is divided into twenty one meaning based on (1) function, (2) profession, (3) use of material (4) source, (5) possession, (6) skill, (7) place or contend, (8) leader, (9) time, (10) product, (11) situation, (12) condition of high (institution, profession, education, place), (13) relation activity, (14) central, (15) quantity, (16) succession, (17) coordinative, (18) person, (19) unity of (money, lesson), (20) ability, and (21) glory of action or condition.
